When framing a literature review, it is crucial to define the scope of your assigned review. Before beginning with anything, it is essential to clarify the specific research about the given question or the topic you aim to address. This will help you and guide you in the selection of your topic. Also, it will build a constructive scope, which will help you maintain your focus on the particular review process. For better understanding, here are some points to be remembered:

  •  Before officially beginning to craft the review, it is important to clarify the basic thoughts and doubts. Then, one should refer back to the question that is aligned and what information I have gathered. Are both things aligning in the way they should or not?
  • Once all the doubts are cleared, move to the next step to search for the most appropriate literature.
  • Now, how do we know that the literature we search for is authentic and appropriate? For this, we always use the search engine Google Scholar. This search engine makes sure to provide the most authentic, appropriate, and reliable extant literature and content, which includes academic books, journal papers, report research, etc.
  • A very important piece of advice I would like to share and mention is that there may be chances that the paper you selected will not open due to copyrights or patent rights. Never panic, I repeat, never! To resolve this, copy the web link of the paper, paste it on another search engine, which is “Sci-Hub,” and tap enter. And here is the paper you were looking for…
  • More specifically papers which are not available on search engine Google scholar, you may have the maximum chances that you can find those on search engine sci-hub. But I must should highlight this information that everyone should only you this, when he/she is not able to open the paper on scholar. Except this situation never directly go for Sci-Hub.
  • Once you have the most appropriate and relevant sources you must critically evaluate the content on the grounds of quality, credibility and most importantly on the grounds of reliability.
  • Thereafter, the sources are perfectly sortedorganize. Organise your literature in a thematic, chronological, or methodological approach. This will help the reader structure their literature review effectively from the beginning.
  • After completing all theoretical data, create a compelling introduction with perfectly aligned, coherent paragraphs and proper citations in the given referencing style. About the term “Referencing style”, I will explain the in-depth meaning in the next blog……
  • ,Lastly, finalize your literature review,, keeping in mind the required style guide,, e.g., MLA and APA. Conclude your review by discussing the elements, including the title page, abstract, headings, and systematic reference list.

I hope the blog was useful to all my leaders, and always remember that well-crafted LR is the statement of your scholarly rigour. I wish you all Happy Writing!!
